Responsible Alpha Welcomes Gwen Bridge to Our Board of Directors
September 1, 2023
Responsible Alpha is honored to welcome Gwen Bridge to our Board of Directors.
Gwen is a distinguished environmental scientist and Indigenous community advocate with a deep commitment to sustainable land management and cultural preservation. Her journey includes a Bachelor of Science in environmental studies and geography from the University of Victoria and an M.Sc. in forest hydrology from the University of Alberta.
Gwen's career began as a field hydrologist and later shifted towards strategic planning, title and rights protection, and policy development for First Nations in resource management. Her unique approach blends hydrology, ecology, conservation biology, and traditional Indigenous knowledge, promoting both biodiversity conservation and cultural sustainability.
Gwen's collaborations with Indigenous communities like the Mescalero Apache, the Makah Tribe, and the Okanagan Nation demonstrate her dedication to building crucial relationships between First Nations and government bodies like Parks Canada and the Canadian Wildlife Service.
We look forward to having Gwen Bridge on our board, where her expertise and commitment will play a pivotal role in guiding Responsible Alpha towards a more sustainable and equitable future.
